countdown to christmas morning

We took Vance to meet Santa at the Columbus Zoo a few days before Christmas. He did very well, rosy cheeks and all!

The Columbus Zoo has an amazing light display throughout the park, so after Vance met Santa, we walked around and enjoyed the lights.

We attended our 2nd annual Christmas Sweater Party and Vance won best sweater! We dressed him up in a pink bunny suit, just like in the movie, 'A Christmas Story.' As you can tell, he also was not too fond of the outfit!

Christmas Eve was a day of relaxing and enjoying family. We decided Vance and Brady could use a little bonding time, so we put them together on the floor and they just 'got to know each other' a little better!

Could they be any closer?

So cute...best buddies forever.

Christmas morning came and Vance was excited to experience his first Christmas.

Grandma Lorrie, Grandpa Dave, Uncle Mark, and Grandma and Grandpa Bradshaw traveled to Ohio to be with the babies for their first Christmas.

Notice the matching jammies for the boys...we called them their "Candy-man" pants.

The boys with their boys.

Two little Christmas 'gifts' tied with red satin ribbons.

What could be more appropriate than Ohio State/University of Michigan fleece blankets for the boys. Daddy made them for Vance and his favorite nephew, Brady.

Amanda and I with our beautiful sons...we always dreamed about this moment, holding our sons together, and now it is real.
Here are the boys opening the first of many matching gifts they will receive in their lifetime.

Their first piggy banks!

We were surprised by how interested Vance was in his piggy bank...I think he liked that it was shiney! He could see his beautiful reflection in it.

Vance relaxing after a big morning...look at those big blue eyes.

After a big morning, it is time for a nap. Vance still loves to be all wrapped up tight when he goes to sleep. Look at that smile...he loves to be with his daddy.

It took Vance only minutes to fall asleep after his first Christmas. I love my son so much. He is quite the Christmas blessing.

Awesome pictures. I love the one of Chad and Vance with the big smile. I can't wait until my girls get older and get to experience the things you and your sister do, it is amazing. He is sure getting big. Miss you guys!
