fun times in september

Look at that smile! Vance received so many fun things for his birthday that Chad and I decided to turn one of our bedrooms into a playroom for Vance. Here are a few pictures of Vance enjoying his new room! We love that smile more than anything!

We have taught Vance to go to his chair to get his shoes put on. He is so cute!

This chair is almost big enough for two! These boys are so blessed to have each other!

Chad got Vance ready for church one morning and I noticed something was in Vance's shirt... I guess some of Chad's eye drop containers ended up between the onsie and collared shirt and Daddy nor Vance noticed. I noticed and got a huge laugh!
We all went home to Illinois to visit Grandma and Grandpa Lulay and Great Grandma and Grandpa Bradshaw. My grandparents live in an big old home and the boys just had the time of their lives running around investigating it all!

Vance got to celebrate his birthday again!

It does not get any more precious than that!

Vance and Brady got to try spaghetti for the first time from one our home-town favorite Italian restaurants while we were home. It was such a fun experience.

The boys with their 'Aunt' Tammy!
Look at Vance's spaghetti-covered smile.

Both my mother and grandma have a passion to play the piano. Vance got to try for the first time!

Here we all are at the annual Morton Pumpkin Festival! Here is Aunt Amanda giving Vance pumpkin icecream for the first time!
Here I am showing my mom my master's thesis.

The boys went out one morning and came home with Morton Potter clothes on... what a couple of crazy guys they looked like.
"I love you, Uncle Mark!"
Here we all are with Mark, Alexis, and Trevon.
Brady loves his Uncle Mark!

We threw a going-away party for Lindsay, Drew, and Alison in mid-September. They all moved down to South Carolina. We had a wonderful night talking around a campfire, eating smores, talking about all the great times we had over the past couple years. We are all going to miss them.

We went up to Michigan to spend time with Chad's parents. It was the last visit up to Michigan for a while since Chad's parents just bought a home in Pawley's Island, South Carolina.

Vance got to meet his Aunt Kelly for the first time and he loved her!

Vance also got to meet some of our friends, Jeff and Pam Scholten. They are expecting a little boy to arrive later this month, how exciting! They are going to be wonderful parents. Chad and Jeff have been friends since grade school!
