Vance turned one year old on September 2nd, 2008. He had his very 1st birthday party on Saturday, September 6th. We all had the most memorable day! Vance loved everything about his day, from the balloons, to the cake, to the friends he so loves. Below are pictures from his party. This truly could have been the best day of my life, watching our little boy experience his birthday for the first time.

As favors for our guests, we had Jones Soda bottles made with pictures of Vance on the front. They turned out so cute and such a sweet keepsake for us!
When the room was all set up, we had Vance walk down the hallway to see him birthday room for the first time! He was so excited when he saw all the decorations! He loved the balloons and walked and crawled around with them all morning before the guests arrived!
Chad and I got Vance his very own 'reading chair' and he couldn't have loved it more! He climbed on his new chair all day long!

It was finally time for cake, the moment we had all been waiting for! Vance had never ever had any type of sugar before his birthday, so we really didn't know how he was going to like it. We were so excited to see his reaction!
When we put it in front of him, he just stared so intently.
He played with it for a while before tasting it.
He LOVED it!
