We have summer passes to the Columbus Zoo and Zoombezi Bay, the zoo's water park. Just like last summer, Wednesdays are water park day!! We usually give the boys dinner there and put them into their jammies as well, that way they go straight into their cribs when they get home. Well, today, as we were leaving the water park, we noticed a huge crowd of people surrounding someone near the zoo's entrance... it was Jack Hanna! We couldn't believe it! For anyone who doesn't know him: Jack Hanna was the director of the Columbus Zoo from 1978 to 1993. He completely transformed and expanded the zoo and made it nationally known! He increased the zoo's attendance by over 400%! Many people know of Jack from his tv show "Jack Hanna's Animal Adventures" on Animal Planet and his many media appearances. Anyway, he is famous! So, as we were walking by the crowd, Chad suggested Amanda and I take the babies up to him and try to get a photo with him. Well, the second we walked up to him, a photographer suggested to Jack to hold both babies for a photo! We were so excited! We then got to talk to Jack and his wife for a while. We thanked him for all he has done for our zoo and they went crazy over the boys. It was one of the best experiences of our lives!
