Fall Fun!

Vance was such a great helper as we got the yard decorated for fall! He loves pumpkins but adored the scare crow! Every day we pulled into the drive way, he would scream "Co Co" (his version of scare crow) and ran to it! We know this child is definitely a Matthews... he loves fall as much as his mommy and daddy does!!

I'm sure Vance is wondering why there are ribbons on the pumpkins! Well, he knows Mommy LOVES ribbons on absolutely anything she can put them on!

Our little helper!

We decided to have the boys decorate pumpkins for Halloween! So, we gave them each a pumpkin and they had no idea what was coming next! They were sure excited though!!

We put a small pile of cotton balls down for them to glue onto their pumpkins and...

Vance threw them everywhere!!

So much concentration!

Amanda and I were so proud of them! They did such a great job!!

I'm not sure if Vance is helping Brady glue one on OR taking one off his pumpkin!

Then came the paint! Thank goodness for water-based paint!!

They knew exactly what to do! We barely had to show them how to use a paint brush!

Here I am blow drying the pumpkins, which fascinated both of them!

Here are two very proud toddlers with their masterpieces!

Everyone knows Chad LOVES to carve pumpkins! We had a great assembly line for the evening! I cleaned out the pumpkins, Chad carved, I baked the pumpkin seeds and Vance just made a big mess!!

Vance loved looking at all the carving tools. He would grab a tool and try and use it on the pumpkins and then say, "There you go!" with so much enthusiasm as if he did it all for us!

Once Chad got started, Vance was so amazed! He stood there (with his little hand on Chad's shoulder) just watching Chad's every move. Vance loves his daddy so much!

And then the mess begins!!

Vance loved taking out all the seeds!

We were not sure what Vance was going to do here...

And then he took a bite and said "yummy!"

His favorite part was running his hands through the gooey seeds!

Here is one of my favorites!

Vance's two pumpkins! A spider man and Pooh bear!

Here are the other two Chad carved! He is so good at this... which makes him a great periodontist!

After daddy raked the leaves, we gave Vance a chance to play in them all he wanted! He had to bring his tractor with him!

Vance and Mommy playing together!

It was great! I felt like a kid again!

Now that the weather is turning cooler, Vance finds fun things to do indoors! He loves his big wheels from his Uncle Bryan and Aunt Amanda!

Here is Vance laughing and giggling at Pooh bear while he is coloring!

This picture was taken right before he started coloring all over the floor!

We took Vance to Leeds Farm, a wonderful fall farm for kids. They have a hay barn with lots of slides. It was heaven for Vance!!

This time, Vance told Daddy he wanted to do it by himself!

He ran all around the hay barn and had a blast... I found tons of straw inside his onesie understhirt and diaper later that day, which just proved to me how much fun he had!!

I just love my two guys.

Here is a pipe slide that Vance was just old enough to go down. Chad is walking up the hill to slide down with him.

I took a couple turns too! Vance probably went down it a dozen times!

The corn barn was great, especially because they had tractors to play with!!

Here is Vance laughing at Daddy.

Notice Vance's mouth open as he is feeding the goats! He loved this too!

Vance kind of looks like a natural while he is milking this fake cow. Water actually would come out, what a neat thing for kids to do!

Our little farmer boy, Vance.
